CHANCE

I met a beautiful woman on the corner of chance and circumstance
So I crossed my heart and hoped to die on Cupid's fate
That if he turned his back on my bout with love
I'd steal his bow and arrow take matters into my own hands
Even though I promised myself I'd touch the sky
Before I unzipped my heart before another woman
My mind got stuck
'Cause I offered her the sun, the moon and the stars
Telling her she didn't have anything but regrets to lose
Later I wondered aloud to myself
Could she really love me
As night gently lulled me to sleep with its song of silence
Would I wake and find all this was only an aching dream
Or was love finally on my side instead of riding against its tide
One thing for sure I was gonna hold on tight with a tiger's might
